Scope of this chapter

These are the Children's Services Procedures for Cheshire East.

This quick guide explains how the manual works.

is manual provides Child Services Procedures compliant with the current version of Working Together to Safeguard Children. The content has been written in a style intended to be accessible to a wide range of users from Cheshire East Children's Services, the voluntary sector, and the public.

This manual will be updated regularly, and a summary of the changes can be accessed via the 'Amendments' button on the Home page. You will also find the details of the next planned manual update in this section.

If you would like to suggest a change to the procedures manual, discuss your suggestion with your line manager in the first instance.

The manual includes the Google Translate function. This is available under the tri.x logo in the bottom-right corner of the welcome page. You can translate any part of the manual into over 240 languages.

The Manual is intended to be viewed online to ensure only the most up-to-date procedures are used. We recognise that, at times, it will be helpful to print copies of certain sections of the procedures. However, we advise that any hard copies not be kept for reference and that users develop the habit of consulting the online version.
