Cheshire East Council Fostering Service Procedures
This manual provides comprehensive policies, procedures, and guidance to support fostering staff and managers in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people. It is designed to ensure that practice across the fostering service is consistent, safe, and informed by current best practice.
Cheshire East Council has adopted the nationally recognised best practice guidance developed by CoramBAAF, and all staff have access to the full suite of policies and procedures via the CoramBAAF platform. These resources offer a robust framework for fostering practice, covering key areas such as safeguarding, placement stability, and carer support.
In addition to the CoramBAAF materials, we have developed a number of localised policies and procedures to reflect the unique needs and priorities of our service and community. These local documents are intended to complement the national guidance and support the ongoing development and improvement of fostering services in Cheshire East.
The children’s services procedures manual and the CoramBAAF website are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain current and relevant. Please take a moment to register for updates using the links below. This will ensure you are notified when the manual is updated and receive alerts for CoramBAAF policy briefings as they are published.
